Anna Wood: I made sure from the top of the show that anything that came out of my mouth, I knew what it meant. I feel it's important to understand everything that's happening and to be comfortable with it.
If you're not comfortable, it's distracting for the actor and for the audience. I learned so much about the way our legal system works through this project.
Zap2it: What do you think about the show's summer scheduling?
Anna Wood: I think summer has become a venue for TV like it hasn't been in years past, especially on Sunday nights. I know that when I'm winding down at the end of the weekend, just a really great TV show or movie is exactly what the doctor ordered.
In terms of the whole summer vibe, everyone's going to be feeling the heat, and I think we're bringing that to the TV screen. It's cool to be on the same wavelength as your audience, so it's totally appropriate and perfect for this time of year.
Zap2it: How is it for you to film the series on location in Charleston, S.C.?
Anna Wood: We have a lot of interested onlookers and enthusiastic people. Even the background actors were people who were doing it for fun, and it was nice. We were very welcomed there, we made some really good friends, and it was a very unique experience. It's so new for them as well as for us.
