Anthony Anderson, Meryl Streep's daughter Mamie Gummer land pilots

The as-of-yet untitled Kevin Williamson project starring Kevin Bacon as an ex-FBI agent on the trail of a serial killer has cast newcomer Adan Canto as Billy, a friend who keeps the serial killer's most recent intended victim safe. [ Deadline]

"Without a Trace's" Eric Close has been cast in ABC's drama "Nashville," a family soap set against the Nashville country music scene. Close will play the husband of an aging superstar. ABC has also added a cast member to "Last Resort," the drama about a U.S. nuclear submarine crew who escape to a NATO island and declare themselves an independent nuclear nation. Jessy Schram ("Once Upon a Time," "Falling Skies") will play the wife waiting at home for her husband's return. [ Deadline]

Meryl Streep's daughter Mamie Gummer has been cast as the lead in the CW's medical drama "First Cut." Gummer ("The Good Wife") plays Emily, a new doctor who discovers that life at her new hospital isn't that much different than high school. [ Deadline]

ABC's drama "Gotham" has added newcomer Megan Ketch as Detective Annie Travers, an NYPD investigator who learns there is a whole secret world exists within New York City. This is quite a coup for the actress, who up until now has only had two guest-starring roles on her acting resume. [ Deadline]

Roseanne Barr's NBC comedy "Downwardly Mobile" has cast Mary Birdsong and Romy Rosemont as residents of the mobile home park of which Barr is the landlord. Birdsong is Kathie Lee, who runs the pizza joint, and Rosemont is Sheila, a nurse at a nursing home. [ Deadline]
