Anthony Weiner mocks female British reporter: 'It's hard to take you seriously'
Anthony Weiner might be running for mayor of New York City, but he's doing a bad job of showing that he's a good man. Following the reveal that he continued sexting after his 2011 resignation from Congress, video has surfaced showing him being incredibly rude to a female ITV reporter at a campaign event.
At one point the reporter asks him a serious question about his "hunger" for the mayoral job, and he responds, "It's hard to take you seriously." When she tries to ask him a follow-up question, he mocks her accent by repeating, "The hunger for the big job. The hunger for the big job." Instead of responding to her, he directs her to his website, AnthonyWeiner.com.
His worst moment comes when the reporter asks him, "Would anything stop you?" Instead of answering, he laughs and responds, "I just have a feeling I've, like, stepped into a Monty Python bit. I don't know, would anything stop me? Now is a rock going to fall on my head? No, nothing's going to stop me. I'm going to win this election."
Clearly he's not going to win it on his foreign diplomacy. To finish the interview, he asks her, "Anything else I can do for ITV? Do you want to do the weather or something?" His forecast for England's weather: "It's going to be rainy, cloudy and gray, so do what you can, guys. Try to keep your head up. Try to keep a -- what is it? -- a stiff upper lip." That's a winner right there, for you.
