aquarius-casting-charles-manson.jpgRenly Baratheon just got a whole lot creepier. The "Game of Thrones" alum who played him, Gethin Anthony, has been cast in NBC's new drama "Aquarius" as the infamous cult leader Charles Manson.

TVLine reports that Anthony will be joined by "Star-Crossed's" Grey Damon and "Bunheads" alumna Emma Dumont in the TV series. Set in the 1960s, "Aquarius" stars David Duchovny as a cop who tracks Manson and his commune by going undercover. Damon will play the partner of Duchovny's character Hodiak.

Meanwhile, Dumont will play a woman named Emma Karn whom Manson recruits (and who sounds like she could be a whole lot like Emma Hill in "The Following," who was played by Valorie Curry). According to TVLine, Manson's interest in Karn "may be far beyond the merely sexual. In fact, he may have embroiled her father in a far-reaching conspiracy." It's unclear if the character is based on a real member of the Manson Family.

The 13-episode first season of "Aquarius" is being written by John McNamera. No air date has been announced.
