Are Kim Kardashian and Kanye West married? It depends whom you ask
A report Sunday (May 4) from Life & Style claims that after getting a marriage license earlier in the week, Kardashian and West are now married "on paper" -- whatever that means.
Another source, however, tells People that it's not true, and Kardashian's rep declined comment on the report.
Having a marriage license doesn't necessarily mean a couple is in fact wed -- California law says couples have 90 days after a license is issued to tie the knot, or they have to reapply.
Prior to Sunday most reports had pegged a wedding date of May 24 in Paris, and the couple and their reps have maintained it would be an "intimate" ceremony with about 200 guests. That may be stretching the definition of intimate, but it's considerably smaller than Kim's made-for-TV wedding to Kris Humphries in 2011.
