Aretha Franklin sits down with Wendy Williams; Discusses 'hard' pain and cancelling her tour

aretha-franklin-wendy-williams-show.jpg Aretha Franklin is still keeping mum on what ails her, but Wendy Williams still managed to nab an on camera interview with the queen of soul to get the latest update on how she's doing and those first warning signs of trouble.

In the interview, set to air Tuesday (Mar. 1) on "The Wendy Williams Show," Franklin tells Williams of her initial experience with the excruciating pain that led her to cancel her tour.

"That was my first inkling that something was not what it should be," she say of the severe abdominal pain. "The pain was so hard it nearly brought me to my knees. So I said, 'The concerts are over. I have to go and find out what is wrong.'"

As for that mystery surgery she underwent in December, the newly svelte songstress still won't confirm nor deny the rumors.

"In December we all found out that you were having abdominal surgery," Williams hints.

Remaining constant, Franklin responds "Hmm... Is that what you heard?"

This isn't new news to anyone who has been following the story, but we do like to see Franklin on camera and looking good following the frightening Pancreatic cancer rumors.
