ariana-grande-trl-gi.jpgMTV is dusting off one of its best-known shows for one day, bringing back "TRL" to help pop star Ariana Grande launch her new single.

"Total Ariana Live" will air from the "TRL" studio at 7 p.m. ET/PT Wednesday, July 2. MTV's Sway Calloway will chat with Grande -- who promises a "special announcement" -- in the half-hour special, and she'll perform a "stripped-down" version of her single "Problem" as well as debut her new song "Break Free."

"It's a huge honor to be able to bring back a show like 'TRL.' I used to love watching it growing up," Grande says in a statement. "Can't wait to celebrate with my loves in Times Square."

"TRL" last aired on MTV in 2008, when it ended a 10-year run as one of the last music video-centric shows on the channel.
