Ariana Grande visits 'Today' after 'Yours Truly' hits No. 1

Ariana Grande celebrated the release of her debut album "Yours Truly" in a big way: not only did it hit No. 1, but the 20-year-old also got to make an appearance on "Today" to promote it.

"I was hoping that it would do well, but I didn't expect it to go to No. 1 so quickly!" Grande tells Savannah Guthrie and Willie Geist. While on the show, Grande performed "The Way" (which featured a special guest appearance by rapper Mac Miller) and "Tattooed Heart."

Grande echoed similar sentiments about her album's success on Twitter. "kajdiisishajakahhba # 1 in under nineteen minutes y'all are everything thank you so much," she tweets to her fans. "I hope you enjoy the album."

The "Sam & Cat" star, who got her start on Nickelodeon's "Victorious," recently performed at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show. She reportedly is dating The Wanted's Nathan Sykes.
