Arnold Schwarzenegger writing a memoir

Yep, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the 64-year-old actor and former governor of California is planning to pen a memoir, set to hit bookstores (if any remain) in October 2012.

The Austrian native who took the Hollywood action genre by storm in the '80s definitely has enough material. He was a champion bodybuilder in his youth, transitioned to big screen fame wearing a loincloth, married a Kennedy ( Maria Shriver), governed a state, fathered a child out of wedlock with his family housekeeper and was promptly dumped by a Kennedy.

On Thursday (Sept. 22), according to the New York Times, Simon & Schuster announced that it had acquired world rights to the book, working title: "Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story."

The book will cover Arnold's early years in the United States and his careers in bodybuilding, moviemaking and politics. No word yet on whether the book will cover his alleged steroid use, divorce or sex scandal.
