It doesn't looks like "Arrested Development" is over just yet. It's already been reported that a fifth season is a possibility on Netflix. Now, series creator Mitch Hurwitz says the movie continuation of the story is going forward.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Hurwitz says, "I'm working on the movie right now." Thatdoesn't mean there aren't hurdles to jump, though. To move forward with a movie, 20th Century Fox would have to sign of on it. However, he says, "everybody seems really into it and really eager to make a movie."
Another difficulty that would have to be addressed is the availability of the cast, though it wouldn't be quite as hard as it was shooting the show. "A TV season is a six-month commitment," Hurwitz explains, "But I think it would be very doable to get them together for four or five weeks to make a movie."
While he's working on the movie, that doesn't mean it will be happening soon. Hurwitz is very careful not to get anyone's hopes up. He's also working on another Netflix project and a movie.
However, it definitely sounds like we haven't seen the last of the Bluths.
