Leading up to the release of Season 4, Zap2it will be taking a look back at the 53 episodes that made the show one of our most beloved TV comedies. We continue with episode 16 of Season 2, "Meat the Veals," which first aired April 4, 2005. Watch the first three seasons of "Arrested Development" on Netflix.

Plot: Oscar plans an anniversary party for Lucille, assuming ihs brother won't show and he can swoop and get her to finally be with him (she's being a bit withholding). But George Sr. kidnaps Lucille for a vow renewal. Meanwhile, George Michael wants to get pre-engaged to bland Ann Veal and the family gets to meet her parents. Her father is a pastor and her mother makes the moves on Michael. Oh, and Tobias is dressing up as Mrs. Featherbottom and GOB trots out his puppet, an African-American man named Franklin that lets GOB do (what he thinks is) Chris Rock-like stand-up.

GIF-worthy scenes:

Recurring jokes worth remembering: Maeby works as an executive at a film studio and when people keep telling her how young she looks, she exclaims, "Marry me!"

Notable guest stars: Simon Helberg from "The Big Bang Theory" is Jeff at the film studio, while the Veals are played by Alan Tudyk ("Suburgatory") and Ione Skye ("Say Anything). Mae Whitman is back as Ann.

Most sexual tension: Michael and Mrs. Veal, when she's rubbing up against him on the balcony.

Allusions to Tobias being gay: "Who'd like a banger in the mouth?", as Mrs. Featherbottom.

Best narrator commentary: "Michael came home to find his brother-in-law Tobias, who'd been kicked out of the house earlier that week ... Michael had seen him earlier that day, as Tobias had been posing as an English nanny named Mrs. Featherbottom."

Next on "Arrested Development": Buster gets a replacement for his hook -- Franklin.
