Oliver Queen is going to meet the Black Canary sooner rather than later in "Arrow" Season 2. Photos posted by Stephen Amell show the two vigilantes hanging out together in the upcoming episode, "Crucible."

Both photos were posted by Amell on Tuesday (Oct. 15), the first via Facebook with a second following on Twitter. The CW has not yet released more photos from the episode.

This is the fourth episode of the current season, which indicates that the arrival of the Black Canary (played by Caity Lotz) will not be drawn out. In the photos, it looks like Oliver and the woman are already working together -- does this mean they also know each other's real identities?

Rumors have indicated that Lotz will actually be playing Sara Lance, the sister of Oliver's former girlfriend Laurel ( Katie Cassidy). Since Sara is currently believed to have drowned in the same yacht sinking that marooned Oliver on the island for five years, her survival would be an interesting twist.

As for the Black Canary, this female hero is all about protecting women who have been abused or attacked by men. "She's sort of following a 'Take Back the Night' mission when we first meet her, beating up men who've assaulted women," "Arrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently told TVLine.

"Arrow" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
