"Arrow" Season 2 isn't waiting until next fall to make the spinoff world of "The Flash" a reality. "Flash" characters Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) will appear in episode 19, "The Man Under the Hood."

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed rumors about the episode to reporters on Monday (March 17). Keep reading for a few spoilers.

"Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin, and Carlos Valdez, who plays Cisco -- two members of StarLabs who are regular parts of the cast of 'The Flash,' do make an important appearance in episode 19 of 'Arrow,'" Guggenheim says. "This was something that really came about because obviously Barry is in a coma at the end of episode 9. That pretty much made it impossible [for him] to appear in episode 19, 20, pick an episode of 'Arrow' -- because he's got to stay in a coma until October of next year."

With Barry not waking up until the "Flash" pilot, it falls to the StarLabs-affiliated Caitlin and Cisco to journey to Starling City.

Their specific reasons for being in town? That must remain a mystery for now, but "The Man Under the Hood" should give the characters a full introduction to "Arrow" audiences.

"It's just so much fun to see these characters before," says Guggenheim. "It's like previewing it -- it's like Boba Fett in the ['Star Wars'] holiday special. Hopefully episode 19 will be better than the holiday special. A little better ..."

There is one more big secret about episode 19 -- the writers of the script. "The reason I've been holding off from tweeting the title page from episode 19 is 19 is co-written by Geoff Johns, Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti -- the team behind 'The Flash,' Guggenheim adds. "And I felt that if I tweeted that, the jig would be up."

"Arrow" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. "The Man Under the Hood" is scheduled to air in April.
