'Arrow' Season 2: Laurel's new job and a new character
Check out these Season 2 details here.
Laurel's new job
Her legal-aid job is gone, but Laurel Lance ( Katie Cassidy) is still a lawyer. In Season 2, she will be a lawyer in a slightly different arena -- the District Attorney's office. What sort of cases might she come across there? Well, for one thing -- according to TVGuide.com -- Laurel may have to deal with aspect's of Moira's ( Susanna Thompson) trial.
"She's trying to stay out of it as much as she can," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in an interview. "But as always with these things, bad stuff happens."
Moira's lawyer, Jean Loring
Actress Teryl Rothery ( "Stargate SG-1") has been cast in the multi-episode recurring role of Jean Loring, Moira Queen's defense attorney. Since Moira is on trial for conspiracy and murder and probably a lot of other things, Ms. Loring will have her work cut out for her.
Can she handle it? Probably -- a report from GreenArrowTV describes Loring as "a savvy attorney ... who would do anything for her clients." It turns out that Moira and the Queen family have a history with Jean Loring as well, so the lawyer will definitely be doing her job.
Fans of DC Comics may recognize the name of this character. The original Jean Loring was the wife -- later, the ex-wife -- of Ray Palmer, a superhero known as the Atom. Fans of the TV series will have to wait to see if there are any other similarities between the two characters.
"Arrow" Season 2 premieres on Oct. 9 on The CW.
