"Arrow" Season 3 has cast former "Medium" actor David Cubitt to guest-star as Manhunter, a character from DC Comics with a past closely tied to that of John Diggle (David Ramsey).

The character's "normal" name is Mark Shaw, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He will be an A.R.G.U.S. operative who crosses paths with Diggle in the third episode of the upcoming season, "Corto Maltese." There is no word yet as to what role Shaw will play on the show -- in the comics, each of the several Manhunter characters were typically darker heroes. One Manhunter alter-ego, Kate Spencer, has already appeared on "Arrow," as a Starling City District Attorney in Season 2.

In addition to playing Detective Lee Scanlon on "Medium," Cubitt recently recurred on "Bates Motel."

"Arrow" Season 3 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
