Nable, 42, is an Australian-born actor best known for his roles in 2011's "Killer Elite" and in 2013's "Riddick" as Boss Johns. No stranger to television, Nable has starred in arcs on the Australian TV series "East West 101," "Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms" and "Underbelly: Badness."

Beyond his acting, he worked in the world of professional rugby and even starred in a movie ("The Final Winter") which he wrote about the sport. Nable also has written two works of fiction: 2009's "We Don't Live Here Anymore" and 2011's" "Faces in the Clouds."

The al Ghuls are already an established family on "Arrow." Katrina Law took the role of Nyssa al Ghul in Season 2, and was first introduced in the Feb. 5 episode "Heir to the Demon." She reprised the role in the Season 2 finale, "Unthinkable." The introduction of Ra's as Season 3's main villain was made at San Diego Comic-Con 2014.

"Arrow" Season 3 premieres Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. A recently released trailer shows some other new faces popping up in the upcoming season.
