"Arrow" Season 3 has announced its new "Big Bad" and it's a name familiar to fans of both Dc Comics and the show itself: Ra's al Ghul.

Yes, the head of the League of Assassins will be coming to Starling City to cause all sorts of trouble. "Arrow" broke the news during the Warner Bros. TV and DC Entertainment panel at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con. Unfortunately, the name of the villain is pretty much the only thing announced -- there is no word yet on who will play the legendary assassin.

Another big question would be why Ra's al Ghul would visit trouble on Oliver Queen and Starling City. Malcolm Merlyn is an obvious target, since he's a fugitive from the League. There's also Sara Lance's always complicated relationship with both the League and with Ra's' daughter, Nyssa.

There is another name being added to the "Arrow" world in the upcoming season: Ted Grant, otherwise known as the Wildcat. This boxing aficionado will be spending some time with Laurel Lance, according to the show's producers

Answers to these questions may arrive with the "Arrow" Season 3 premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
