'Arsenio Hall Show' earns Season 2: Watch Jay Leno stop by to announce renewal

Arsenio Hall received some spectacularly good news during Wednesday (Feb. 26) night's episode of his eponymous late-night show -- delivered by a very special guest.

Making his first television appearance since retiring from "The Tonight Show" earlier this month, Jay Leno surprised his good friend with news that the show had officially been renewed for Season 2.

Sneaking up behind Hall during his monologue, Leno removed an envelope from his pocket and broke the news, surprising everyone -- the host included.

Before letting Hall get back to his show, Leno teased his former rival, joking, "Actually, on the second season, I'm gonna be hosting -- they didn't tell you that part."

"The Arsenio Hall Show" premiered on Sept. 9. The show, produced by CBS Television Distribution, had already secured a two-year deal with anchor station group Tribune Broadcasting.
