Ashton Kutcher joins 'Two and a Half Men' -- report

Kutcher will join "Two and a Half Men" for its fall 2011 season, according to reports in Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. The deal reportedly comes after negotiations with Hugh Grant flopped at the last minute.

Kutcher may not be the worst choice possible (actually, that would be Charlie Sheen) -- he's young and has a massive Twitter following that we're sure CBS is hoping will make the transition to TV with the "That '70s Show" alum. For Kutcher, this could be a career reviving move since his reception at the box office has been mixed.

According to THR, Kutcher is getting a "huge payday" to join the sitcom and creator Chuck Lorre has come up with a storyline that will satisfy the network, studio and fans. Earlier on Thursday (May 12), we reported that Kutcher's name had been thrown in the "Men" ring. Things move fast in Hollywood.
