Axl Rose robbed in $200K Paris jewel heist

axl-rose-fat-old.jpgGuns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose was the target of a jewel heist in Paris on Tuesday (June 5). According to reports, the singer was robbed of more than $200,000 worth of jewelry in the form of three gold-and-diamond necklaces. The items have since been recovered and the likely culprit is in custody.

Rose was at a private gathering after his band's concert when the necklaces were taken, reports NME. Apparently he was not wearing them at the time of the theft, but a spokesman for the singer says Rose was "fuming" after the theft.

Agence France-Presse reports that a young model who attended the party showed up at a French police station and was arrested in the robbery, although she told authorities she was not sure how she happened to leave with the jewelry.

Rose and his current iteration of Guns N' Roses just completed a U.K. arena tour where disattisfied fans reportedly pelted the band with money and pint glasses. Not only that, security turned away any fans who showed up wearing clothing bearing the image of original Guns guitar man Slash.
