Ayla Brown, 'American Idol' contestant and Senator's daughter, turns country

Ayla Brown is sort of famous for two reasons:

1) She was semifinalist on Season 5 of "American Idol."

2) She's the daughter of senator and former partially-nude model Scott Brown, who famously told the world she was single during his 2010 acceptance speech.

Not having much success with pop music following "Idol" -- three poorly-selling albums and the boot from her label -- Brown now hopes two reinvent herself as a country artist.

Her father tells the AP that she's moving to Nashville, where music producers "want to work with her." He says little about her intended shift in genre, only that he supports both of his daughters "as long as they're safe and healthy and using their heads."

Aww, what a good dad. What a good, really handsome dad.
