'Bachelor Pad' hosts Chris Harrison, Melissa Rycroft: 'Never know what you're going to see'

chris-harrison-melissa-rycroft-abc.jpg"Bachelor Pad" is helping with the "Bachelor"/"Bachelroette" withdrawal by bringing back all your favorite franchise characters, putting them in a house together and having them compete for $250,000.

Host Chris Harrison says he's thought a lot about who is going to win. "You go with someone like Kiptyn, who's the mayor of the house already," says Harrison. "Or is everybody going to be gunning for him becuase they know he has the abs and the smile and he's a fan favorite ... Is it going to be a villain like Wes or Craig, who can manipulate and play the game? Or will it be a sweet girl like Tenley, who will play that shy girl thing right up until she takes the money?"

"It's going to be interesting to see how these personalities that we've gotten to know and love on the show, how are they going to play out when there's a quarter-million dollars on the line?" muses Harrison.

"It's so hard to tell what's going to happen at the end of this," adds Harrison's new co-host Melissa Rycroft. "I think there's going to be true colors that come out on these guys that none of us have ever seen before. You put money, you put romance, a little rivalry, competition into a house like that, you never know what you're going to see out of somebody."

"Bachelor Pad" debuts in a two-hour premiere Monday (Aug. 9) at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
