'Bachelor' producer's note-passing on Thanksgiving flight gets him slapped
A producer for "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" was stuck on a Thanksgiving Day flight with what he described as a very annoying fellow passenger. So he told his Twitter followers about it. And got slapped.
Elan Gale is a supervising producer on the ABC dating shows. He was a on flight to Los Angeles Thursday (Nov. 28) with a woman named Diane, who according to Gale's detailed Twitter account was angry at the flight being delayed and rude to the flight attendants.
"The male flight attendant said 'I understand ma'am. I'm looking forward to seeing my family too,'" Gale writes. "She responded 'This isn't about you.'"
Gale eventually decided to send the woman a glass of wine and a note that read in part, "Please accept this glass of wine. It is a gift from me to you. Hopefully if you drink it, you won't be able to use your mouth to talk! Love, Elan."

Diane was not pleased. More notes went back and forth -- the woman called Gale an "awful person" and he responded with "eat my d***." When they exited the plane in Los Angeles, Gale says he waited for the woman to give her one last note, but she walked up and slapped him. He chose not to call airport police -- but did post a picture of his mom giving Diane the finger.
On his Tumblr later, Gale wrote that he decided to antagonize the woman because she was being rude to the flight crew: "Be nice everyday, but if you see a man or a woman working on a holiday you better respect that they would like to be with their family too," he writes. Which is true -- but probably would be easier to put across without asking a stranger to make a meal of your junk.
