'Bachelor' star Gia Allemand hospitalized in critical condition

gia-allemand-hospitalized-critical-condition.jpg Gia Allemand, who came in third on Jake Pavelka's season of "The Bachelor" and went on to play on Seasons 1 and 2 of "Bachelor Pad," was hospitalized Monday night (Aug. 12) in New Orleans.

According to a statement released by her publicst, Allemand was taken to University Hospital after a "serious emergency medical event," but details of said event are not known at this time.

The 29-year-old is listed as being in critical condition and the family has asked for privacy at this time. With her are Allemand's mother and longtime boyfriend Ryan Anderson, who plays for the New Orleans Pelicans.
