eric-hill-bachelorette-paragliding-accident.jpg UPDATE: Hill's sister Tracy posted to Facebook that Eric has passed away, reports Reality Steve. She writes, "Eric shared his final journey with us this morning as all his immediate family were able to be at his side when he passed away. ... He gave us such a gift of a life fully lived and fully shared, and allowed us all to be a part of his last adventure here on earth."

Eric Hill, one of "Bachelorette" Andi Dorfman's eligible suitors, was involved in a terrible paragliding accident over the weekend in Utah and is in a medically-induced coma, reports US Weekly.

United Fire Authority Battalion Chief Brian Anderton tells the magazine that Hill's parachute collapsed, which sent him falling into a hillside, where "due to the slope of the hill," first-responders had a difficult time getting him down, so they called in a technical rescue team with medical specialists.

Hill is listed in critical condition at a local hospital and has been placed in a medically-induced coma. His Facebook page writes, "Friends: Eric has been in a horrible paragliding accident and is currently in critical condition in a coma. Things are not looking good right now...please, all across the world, even if you're not a praying person, please pray for him. He needs your prayers more than ever."

The bachelors for Andi's season have not officially been announced yet by ABC, but many names leak out during filming and Hill's was one of them. This accident was not part of the filming of "The Bachelorette," however.

"The Bachelorette" Season 10 premieres Monday, May 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
