Barbara Walters: John Boehner's crying is 'an emotional problem'
There's no crying in baseball or politics, according to most of "The View" coven.
For their Hot Topics Monday (Dec. 13), the ladies decided to tackle Speaker-Elect John Boehner's penchant for weeping in interviews, and leading the criticism was the usually objective peacemaker Barbara Walters.
Babs wasn't flying her Switzerland flag though after watching a "60 Minutes" clip in which Boehner started boohooing on camera.
"I'm sorry -- this guy is going to be Speaker of the House and is not going to invite me to his Christmas party -- but this guy has an emotional problem that every time he talks about anything that's not 'raise taxes,' he cries.
"If you had seen Nancy Pelosi all of these past years crying," adds Walters, "what would you say? 'The woman has a problem.'"
Joy Behar adds her two cents, calling him the "Weeper of the House," and Elisabeth Hasselbeck is the only one to defend him.
We're not going to lie. We chuckled a little at the Boehner video, but that might just be because that whole "clip out of context" thing made it feel like "The Soup."
