Barbara Walters didn't get everyone she wanted for her final "10 Most Fascinating People" special. Though her list included the likes of Hillary Clinton, Jennifer Lawrence and Miley Cyrus, there were three people she wanted to land but reportedly couldn't.

According to Radar Online's source, the three stars too elusive for Walters were Kristen Stewart, Jay Z and Robert Downey Jr. These were part of a bigger list that Walters started with before finalizing her list of 10.

"Typically, Barbara very carefully starts approaching people in September for the special, but she always accounts for getting turned down by some of her interview targets. They start with 30 names and narrow it down to get all the interviews done for Thanksgiving," the insider says.

Though Stewart had a relatively low-key year, Jay Z and Downey both made big enough dents in pop culture that it's no surprise Walters reached out to them. Though no one from the Marvel Cinematic Universe replaced RDJ, Jay Z's disciple Kanye West did make the list.

Are you surprised this trio turned Walters down?
