"Bates Motel" Season 2 will pick up in the aftermath of where Season 1 left off, and a new photo from the upcoming episodes will prove it.

Entertainment Weekly has a first look image from Season 2, above, that shows Norman, Norma and Dylan at Miss Watson's funeral. But it's been teased on more than one occasion that the murder might not be as cut and dry as it at first seems, and that Norman might not actually be at fault.

Just don't expect Miss Watson to come back from the dead any time soon. "The show hasn't gone in that direction yet," star Freddie Highmore tells EW.

Nestor Carbonell echoed similar sentiments to Zap2it during a recent interview. "Assuming it was Norman. You never know," he says of the implied murder. "One of the great things about this show is, even with cliffhangers, they're pretty much dealt with head-on, so the payoff is always going to be there. We definitely tackle that pretty quickly in Season 2 and the ramifications of what happened with the teacher at the end of Season 1. Not that it's all wrapped up in a neat bow, but it's definitely being dealt with for sure."

"Bates Motel" Season 2 is slated for a March 2014 premiere. Newcomers to the show include Kathleen Robertson, Rebecca Creskoff, Kenny Johnson, Paloma Kwiatkowski and Michael Vartan.
