'Bates Motel' Season 2 will introduce the fruit cellarAdd to Favorites | Bates Motel
One of "Psycho's" most iconic sets will be brought to life in "Bates Motel" Season 2.
According to TV Guide, the second season of the A&E drama will feature scenes set in the Bates' fruit cellar. As fans of the Alfred Hitchcock original know, that is the location where Mother's body is found at the end of "Psycho."
It will serve a similar purpose in "Bates Motel." Norman turns the room into his taxidermy studio, which is a nice explanation for why he ended up keeping Norma's body there. "There are many creepy things down there," Freddie Highmore says of the basement set.
Season 2 will pick up with Norman taxidermizing a creature much larger than the dog he stuffed in Season 1. Fortunately, though, the critter is not human. "We're taking baby steps," Cartlon Cuse teases.
Norman's new hobby suitably freaks his mother out. "It makes Norma utterly uncomfortable, as most mothers would be," Vera Farmiga says.
"Bates Motel" Season 2 will premiere in 2014.
