bsg-blood-and-chrome.jpgThe long-gestating pilot-turned-TV movie-turned-web series "Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome" will see the light of day starting this week.

The show will premiere on YouTube's Machinima Prime channel on Friday (Nov. 9). What had initially been conceived as a two-hour pilot/TV movie for Syfy will now run as a series of 10 webisodes, which will roll out over the course of four weeks.

"Blood and Chrome" fills in some of the time between "BSG" prequel "Caprica" and Syfy's original series. It follows a young William Adama ( Luke Pasqualino), a fighter pilot assigned to Galactica during the first Cylon War. Ben Cotton ("Harper's Island") also stars.

Syfy still plans to air "Blood and Chrome" as a two-hour movie early next year, but whether that will lead to any ongoing series is up in the air. ( EW first reported the news of the debut date.)
