'Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome' won't be a TV series -- may hit the web
The show about the younger years of William Adama has been in the works for quite some time. Though it was initially imagined as a web series, it was greenlit in October 2010 for a two hour TV pilot. Because of post-production in this effects-heavy series, that pilot wasn't delivered until November 2011.
Mark Stern, president of original programming at Syfy had this to say in a statement. "Though the vision for 'Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome' has evolved over the course of the past year, our enthusiasm for this ambitious project has not waned. We are actively pursuing it as was originally intended: a groundbreaking digital series that will launch to audiences beyond the scope of a television screen. The 90-minute pilot movie will air on Syfy in its entirety at a future date."
So, web series? Maybe so. Let us know what you think, "Battlestar" fans. Are you disappointed? Excited about the possibilities? Spill your guts below.
