Benedict Cumberbatch: 'Sherlock' star denies 'Doctor Who,' 'Star Wars' appearances
The actor denied involvement in both projects -- about which rumors have been circulating -- during a panel at the Oz Comic-Con in Perth, Australia on Saturday (April 12).
Cumberbatch seemed a little disappointed not to be involved with "Star Wars," based on a tweet by The Iris:
I would've liked a part in JJ's new Star Wars but it won't happen sadly-- The Iris (@TheIrisAU) April 12, 2014
When it came to "Doctor Who," however -- a project he could almost definitely join, since "Sherlock" shares executive producers Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss with "Doctor Who" -- Cumberbatch seemed to have little interest.
I'm never gonna play The Doctor, & nothing to do with the Whoniverse-- The Iris (@TheIrisAU) April 12, 2014
Apparently, starring in "Sherlock" and a bunch of movies is enough for one actor.
