Bethenny Frankel calls 'Skinnydipping' book a 'palate cleanser'
Author, reality star and Skinnygirl entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel stopped by NBC's "Today" show Tuesday (May 1) morning to promote her new book, "Skinnydipping."
"I just thought there should be some sort of palate cleanser," Frankel says of her first foray into fiction, referring to the book as "fun" and "refreshing."
The star of "Bethenny Ever After" and formerly "The Real Housewives of New York City" has previously written two diet-related books, "Naturally Thin" and "The Skinnygirl Dish" as well as her self-help tome "A Place of Yes: 10 Rules for Getting Everything You Want Out of Life," which was also part memoir.
As for overlap between her own life and that of "Skinnydipping" leading lady Faith Brightstone, Frankel tells Ann Curry that the two of them have a lot in common -- with some differences.
"There will be a lot of guessing who's who," Frankel says. "But it really is a very creative, imaginative book."
