Beyonce and Jay-Z host fundraiser for their friend President Obama
The celeb couple hosted a fundraiser for the President's re-election campaign at Jay's 40/40 Club in New York City on Tuesday, Sept. 18, where 100 people paid $40,000 each to rub elbows with the Commander-in-Chief and pop's First Couple.

People reports that Obama's first order of business when he stepped onstage at the event was to say some kind words for his hosts. "To Jay and Bey, thank you for your friendship," he said.
Of course, Obama's speech focused on political issues and the economy (that's kind of the point of the event), but he also spoke about his famous friends and his show-stopping wife, Michelle. "Jay knows what my life is like," he said. "We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are."
