Poor Penny! "Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco, who fell off of a horse on Sept 13, will likely miss more than just one episode of the series.

Stuck in bed with a broken leg, Cuoco missed a Sept. 14 taping of "BBT," so she had to be written out the episode. And though filming is currently on a previously scheduled hiatus, EW reports that the still-hospitalized Cuoco's recovery time will take longer, missing a few episodes -- despite the fact that the hiatus has already been extended by an extra week.

When asked on how Cuoco's injury will affect the series, producer Warner Bros. TV released this statement to Zap2it: "Warner Bros. Television, CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions all wish Kaley a speedy recovery, and we look forward to her return. In order to allow her more recuperation time and to adjust future storylines, The Big Bang Theory is taking a two-week production hiatus. However, the show's broadcast schedule will continue as planned, with no airdate interruptions."
