The "Big Brother" house is is known for fighting, especially late at night. The houseguests are cooped up with each other and they are usually given alcohol. But Tuesday night's fight between Jeff and Kalia was a whole new thing.

It was a fight about the "Harry Potter" character Dumbledore, who author J.K. Rowling has said she always thought of as gay. Jeff, who clearly has never read the books based on his comments, starts going off about how inappropriate it is to send kids to a "fantasy camp" run by a gay male. Apparently for Jeff Schroeder, gay = pedophile or molester. It makes us sad for Jeff that he's so ignorant and bigoted.

When Kalia defends both the books and the idea that there is nothing wrong with sending your kids "to camp" with a gay man (which isn't really even what "Harry Potter" is, but whatever), Jeff goes absolutely ballistic on her, accusing her of "saying the right answer for TV." It's like he can't even conceive of the fact that Kalia might actually believe what she's saying.

It's interesting Jeff is so concerned about what's "right on TV." remember, one of the first nights the feeds were available, Cassi called Dominic a "f*****" and Jeff told her not to - not because you shouldn't use hate speech, but because the TV viewers will hate her.

UPDATE: We hear Jeff did go talk to Kalia later after the confrontation, though we don't have video of that yet. But we have to wonder - did he go patch things up with her because he was sincerely sorry or because of his TV image?

Talk about missing the point. Jeff was known for his homophobic slurs during his season of "Big Brother" a couple years ago and it appears he has not changed. Did you miss the fight? You can still sign up for the live feeds so you don't miss a moment of "Big Brother" this summer.
