'Big Brother 16' live feeds give users voting powers

big-brother-16-live-feeds-CBS.jpgThere are a few changes happening on the "Big Brother" live feeds this year and it looks like one of them will be giving live feed viewers extra power over the fans who only watch on TV.

On the CBS live feed website, the features highlighted for the 2014 live feed early-bird sign up include things that we're used to, like being able to stream the feeds anytime, anywhere from a laptop, tablet or phone, or live chat with other live feed subscribers.

But there's also a section labeled "Subscribers-only votes" and it says live feed watchers can "cast your vote each week so you can influence what happens in the house."

Intriguing.

Not only is this an ingenious way for CBS to get more live feed subscribers, but it's also long overdue that people who put in the time and effort to watch the live feeds (and therefore know what's really going on in the house) get to influence the game in some way. Frankly, we can't believe CBS didn't implement this feature years ago. It certainly would have made last summer even more interesting than it already was.

One other cool feature is the "Houseguest Tracker," which lets you know all the statistics about your favorite houseguests. We hope the tracker feature will also keep us apprised as to who is the current HOH, veto-holder, etc.

"Big Brother 16" premieres Wednesday, June 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Watch a preview below and be sure to sign up for the live feeds to have voting powers.
