'Big Brother 16' week 2 spoilers: Nominations and Battle of the Block results

big-brother-16-week-2-nominations.jpgWith more to cram in every week, the "Big Brother 16" house is on overdrive -- the Head of Household nominations and first Battle of the Block competition were both held Thursday (July 3) after the live eviction. We know, we're surprised too. Read on for the results, or just sign up for the live feeds yourself to keep up on the action.

The two new Heads of Household are Amber and Devin, which should mean that everyone outside the Bomb Squad alliance is in trouble. And predictably, Brittany, Paola, Hayden and Nicole were nominated. I am surprised Donny wasn't nominated, honestly.

But anyway, after the Battle of the Block, Hayden and Nicole came off because they won and Amber then went back into the houseguest pool, since they were her nominees, leaving Brittany, Paola, Devin and whoever is drawn to play in the Power of Veto competition this weekend.

Devin's target is Brittany (not sure why) and his renomination person is going to be Victoria if Brittany escapes the block via the POV.

So, this looks to be kind of another boring week in the "Big Brother" house. It's really a shame they whipped through the nominations and BotB so quickly, because it would have been fun to watch a day of people campaigning to the HOHs, then a day of the nominees sweating things out, then BotB on Sunday, POV on Monday or Tuesday.

Instead, POV will be over by Sunday and then we have five days of watching Brittany (or Victoria) be resigned to her fate.
