Bill Maher's Tim Tebow tweet sparks HBO boycott

Bill-Maher.jpgBill Maher is no stranger to controversy. He was fired from his late night show on ABC after he made some controversial comments about the 9/11 hijackers. He then started up "Real Time with Bill Maher" on HBO, which is currently running, giving him a more permissive forum for his views.

Maher is back in the news again for a comment he made about football player Tim Tebow, and this time some people on Twitter are calling for a boycott of HBO in protest. After the Denver Broncos lost to the Buffalo Bills on Christmas Eve, Maher tweeted, "Wow, Jesus just f***ked #TimTebow bad! And on Xmas Eve! Somewhere in hell Satan is tebowing, saying to Hitler 'Hey, Buffalo's killing them'"

Tebowing has become a well-used term and refers to getting down on one knee to pray in a crowd no matter what else is going on, something Tebow does frequently. In fact, it was the subject of a "Saturday Night Live" skit, which you can watch below. So readers, how do you feel about Maher's comments? Let us know below.
