Running a marathon is challenging enough, but Bill Rancic is upping the stakes even more for Nov. 3's New York Marathon. The husband of E! News' Giuliana Rancic is starting the race in dead last with the promise of Timex donating $1 to the breast cancer charity Fab-U-Wish for every person he passes.

Considering there are 45,000 people planning to participate in the ING New York City Marathon, that's a whole lot of money Rancic could potentially raise for his wife's charity. It helps that it's going to a cause close to his heart, as Giuliana fought and survived the cancer already. Rancic's goal is to pass 25,000 people, thus raising $25,000.

Rancic has run two marathons before: one at age 28, and one at age 30. The "Giuliana & Bill" star tells CBS News that his initial plan was to finish the race in under four hours, but now his hope is to simply raise as much as he can.

"A month ago I said I wanted to come in at 4 [hours], but now, I don't know. It's gonna be touch and go," he says. "I've had just a crazy week of traveling and business stuff and, it depends on if I can get some good rest the next couple of days."

The ING New York City Marathon begins at 9:40 a.m. ET.
