Billboard Music Awards 2013: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis win Best Rap Song, get stuck in different hotel

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performed at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards and then later won the award for Best Rap Song for "Thrift Shop," but they were nowhere to be seen at MGM Grand Garden Arena where the awards show was taking place. Instead, the rap duo was relegated to the Wynn Las Vegas for both their performance and their win.

"Got to thank Goodwill, got to thank Value Village," Macklemore (real name Ben Haggerty) says in his acceptance speech, adding to their fans, "We love you, we appreciate you."

Macklemore and Lewis have made the rounds ever since "Thrift Shop" burst on to the music scene, performing both at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards and on "Saturday Night Live." That's why it was so strange to see the performers relegated to a different hotel while everyone else up until that point in the show performed in the MGM. They even were shafted with a clearly intoxicated (or just generally out of it) Kid Rock presented them their Billboard award. Hopefully they get more love later in the show.
