"I want to thank everyone on Earth ... except for Donald Sterling," Timberlake says at the end of his acceptance speech.

Sterling rose to recent notoriety after the Los Angeles Clippers owner was revealed to have racist beliefs. Audio of him telling his girlfriend not to associate with black people was released, and in the wake of that news he has been banned from the NBA for life.

Timberlake beat out Miley Cyrus, Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars for the Top Artist title. "It's not a competition, but if it was: I won!" Timberlake quips during his speech.
