Billy Currington mug shot released - Country music star indicted for terroristic threats

According to a report by TMZ, Currington got into a boat and chased down a 70-year-old boat captain, Charles Ferrelle, with a camera on April 15. Currington reportedly hurled verbal abuse at Ferrelle, promised to "f*** him up" and threatened his life because the man steered his river vessel too close to Billy's boat dock. In fairness, a witness tells cops the boat's wake nearly knocked an elderly man into the water.

Since Currington had a camera with him, maybe there's a chance some video of the exchange will surface. For now, the mug shot is all there is to look at. A judge set Currington's bond at $27,000.

Currington has had 11 Top 4 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, with six No. 1 singles. He was nominated for a Grammy Award and two Academy of Country Music awards in 2010. His 2005 single, "Must Be Doin' Something Right" netted him a CMT Music Award in 2006 for Hottest Video of the Year. Currington's fifth studio album is on the way, as the first single, "Hey Girl," dropped in March.
