Blake Shelton wasn't jittery about marrying Miranda Lambert

"I was ready to get married to her the day I asked her," he says.

"May 14 is our wedding date," he says. "I am told I am not supposed to pass along where it is going to be -- if she don't break up with me before then," Shelton says.

With both of their careers in high gear, and the NBC talent contest he's on, "The Voice," ranking as the top new show of the season, the country singer says he wants to be sure to strike a balance between marriage and singing.

"As long as we have a grasp on being sure that we have enough time together," all should be harmonious, Shelton says. "Sometimes that means she has to go out on the road with me or I go with her. Luckily, we are at a point and a stature where we can say no to things."

Despite everything going on, and how jittery people can get right before a wedding, Shelton says, "I am not getting nervous. The wedding and the wedding night will be a fun party. There will be a lot of country singers, naturally, because of what we do. A lot of our friends are other artists, and you can't help but become close to those people."
