How do show an investigation into a murder from the perspective of the victim? The 150th episode of "Bones," "The Ghost in the Machine," does just that. You can see this new point of view for yourself in these video sneak peeks.

The mystery at the center of "The Ghost in the Machine" is the murder of a 14-year-old boy whose remains are found partially buried in a greenhouse. As the investigation progresses, Angela's ( Michaela Conlin) favorite psychic, Avalon Harmonia ( Cyndi Lauper), informs everyone that the dead boy's spirit is still hanging around. And watching.

What would a Jeffersonian investigation look like from the perspective of the bones found in the ground? Apparently, it would be a close-up of Hodgins ( T.J. Thyne) brushing away dirt as insects buzzed nearby.

If you believe this episode, scene changes are accompanied by swirling ink in liquid. There is a lot of that in "The Ghost in the Machine."

This is not one of those happy, fun episodes of "Bones." The next video clip pretty much makes that clear. Evidence and remains aren't really reminiscent of a living person until it all comes together. And then...

Of course, this show always needs to have some fun, even if it only comes right at the end of the episode. Check out what happens when Booth ( David Boreanaz) plays "their song" for Brennan ( Emily Deschanel).

Phalanges! Dancing phalanges!

"The Ghost in the Machine" airs on Monday, Dec. 3 at 8pm.
