'Bones': FOX moves episode to January to lead into 'The Finder'Add to Favorites | Bones
The network announced Monday (Dec. 5) that it's moving the sixth episode of the season, "The Crack in the Code," from Dec. 15 to Jan. 12. The latter date also happens to be the series premiere of "Bones" spinoff "The Finder," and FOX has decided it wants to air an original "Bones" as its lead-in.
When the network laid out its midseason schedule last week, it initially had the "Bones" episode that introduced "Finder" stars Geoff Stults and Michael Clarke Duncan slated for 8 p.m. ET Jan. 12, followed by the new show's debut. FOX then changed its mind and opted for a new episode there instead, so "The Crack in the Code" and the repeat of the spin-off episode switched places.
Because "Bones" only shot a handful of episodes before star Emily Deschanel went on maternity leave, the show can't slot in another new episode for the January date.
