"Bones" Season 9 ended its finale on a huge cliffhanger: Booth (David Boreanaz) has been set up by someone high up in government and nearly dies in a shootout, only to find that he is being charged with murder. What will happen to him and to Brennan (Emily Deschanel) in Season 10?

There are a few spoilers that indicate the upcoming season will have some major changes.
In a video posted by E! Online, Deschanel and Boreanaz -- together with executive producers Stephen Nathan and Jonathan Collier -- give hints about Season 10.

For one thing, conspiracies will abound. "I don't want to say it's a conspiracy theory -- because it may not be a theory," Deschanel says. "There really may be conspiracies happening against Booth and Brennan and then possibly everyone at the Jeffersonian."

This will lead to a lot of soul-searching for Booth, because "the people he trusts more than he trusts anyone might not be as trustworthy as he believes," Nathan says.

Of course, Booth has to survive his shooting wounds in order to even have these dilemmas. "We don't know what the deal is, as far as his health is concerned," Boreanaz points out.

Collier agrees: "Booth is a terribly wounded criminal, and everything he's ever stood for or worked for is gone."

While Booth probably won't die ("Bones" isn't likely to change that much), Season 10 offers "a lot of changes for our characters," according to Deschanel.

It should be interesting to see when "Bones" Season 10 returns in the fall on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
