'Boss': Kelsey Grammer's Starz series releases teaser, poster
That's the takeaway from the first teaser for "Boss," the new drama series from Starz that stars the multiple Emmy winner as the mayor of Chicago. His character, Tom Kane, has had a very successful run as the leader of the Windy City, and the people like him, but he's also made a lot of enemies and kept his hold on power through occasionally less-than-honorable means.
And also? Tom has a degenerative brain disorder that's starting to affect his work and his life. So that's not good.
"Boss" also stars Connie Nielsen (xx) as Tom's wife, Kathleen Robertson (xx) as a mayoral aide and Hannah Ware as Tom's estranged daughter, who may be the first one to realize what's happening to her dad. Farhad Safinia ("Apocalypto") created the series, which premieres in October, and executive produces it with Grammer, pilot director Gus Van Sant, Brian Sher, Stella Stolper, Richard Levine and Lyn Greene.
