Box Office: 'Devil' and 'Mission Impossible' lead the weekend
According to Exhibitor Relations, the thriller took in an estimated $34.5 million over the course of the weekend. Since the movie only cost a reported $1 million, it wouldn't be a huge leap to suggest a sequel might be on the horizon.
Even after four weeks, "Mission Impossible" still brings in the cash. The action flick brought in an estimated $20.5 million.
Rounding out the top five were " Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" with $14 million, " The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" at $11.3 million and " Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked," which squeaked past " War Horse," landing $9.5 million.
The biggest winner of all was probably Paramount as they produced both "Devil" and "Mission Impossible."
