Box Office: Even Brad Pitt can't take 'The Lion King's' crown

Friday box office estimates showed Brad Pitt's "Moneyball" in the lead, but after Saturday matinees were factored in, "The Lion King's" 3-D re-release took back the crown and came in at No. 1 for the weekend with $22,130,000 in its second week. "Moneyball" was in second place, earning $20,600,000.

Warner Bros. feel-good family film "Dolphin Tale" was a very close third place with $20,260,000, trouncing the Taylor Lautner led thriller "Abduction," which only made $11,200,000. Guess this weekend's movie-goers were Team Edward.

Coming in at No. 5 in its first week in theaters was Open Roads Studio's assassin thriller "Killer Elite," with an all-star cast of Jason Statham, Robert DeNiro, Clive Owen, Yvonne Strahovski, and Dominic Purcell.
